1. SCOPE OF WORK
All work performed by Métis Contracting Ltd. (“we”, “our”, “us”) is based on the agreed scope outlined in written estimates, quotes, or project agreements.
Any work outside of this scope will be treated as a change order and may result in additional costs and/or timeline adjustments.
2. ESTIMATES & PRICING
All quotes are based on:
• visible conditions at time of inspection
• standard industry assumptions
• materials and labour required for completion
Final pricing may be adjusted if:
• hidden conditions are discovered
• structural or material issues arise
• scope changes are requested
3. DEPOSIT & PAYMENT TERMS
• A 30% deposit is required to secure scheduling and materials
• Remaining balance is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed
Accepted payment methods:
• Cash
• Cheque
• Interac e-Transfer
• Credit/Debit (via Stripe/Square where applicable)
4. PROJECT SCHEDULING & DELAYS
Project timelines are estimates and may be affected by:
• weather conditions
• material availability
• site conditions
• unforeseen circumstances
We will communicate any delays, but timelines are not guaranteed.
5. WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY
We provide a 2-year workmanship warranty on completed work.
This covers:
• defects in installation
• workmanship-related issues
This does NOT cover:
• normal wear and tear
• misuse or neglect
• damage caused by others
• material defects outside manufacturer warranty
Any warranty work will be repaired at our discretion.
6. SUBCONTRACTORS
We may engage qualified subcontractors for specialized work:
• All subcontractors are required to meet our standards.
• We remain responsible for the overall project.
• Subcontractors may carry their own insurance depending on scope.
7. SITE CONDITIONS & RESPONSIBILITY
Clients are responsible for:
• providing access to the work area
• removing personal belongings where required
We take reasonable care, but are not responsible for:
• pre-existing damage
• unforeseen structural issues
8. PERMITS & COMPLIANCE
Where required, permits and inspections must be obtained.
Unless otherwise stated:
• responsibility for permits will be defined per project
9. LIABILITY
We are responsible for damage caused directly by our work.
We are not liable for:
• indirect or consequential damages
• delays beyond our control
• third-party actions
10. ACCEPTANCE OF WORK
Completion of work and final payment indicates acceptance of the project unless defects are reported within a reasonable timeframe.
